The Ausable Ugly (Rich Garfield)

I love scruffy flies, and this one definitely fits the bill.  The Ausable Ugly will catch trout and all of the warmwater species you want to pursue.



This is my version of the Rich Garfield creation (yeah I know it is really a wooly worm), but Rich picked the ingredients.

This is Rich's version of the fly.  As you can see, both versions are ugly which in my opinion make them fishy.  The ugly just plain looks like food.  Murph would eat it!
